Continuing the Research Legacy: The 12th Student Scientific Conference | Khaled Osama Yaseen

Praise be to God! I am honored to share my second consecutive participation in the Student Scientific Research Conference at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mansoura University. This year marked the 12th edition of this prestigious event, which continues to serve as a vital platform for pharmaceutical innovation in Egypt.

A New Scientific Frontier: The Gut Microbiome

Building upon my previous award-winning research on Canagliflozin and Chronic Kidney Disease, my focus this year shifted toward another critical area of clinical science: the Gut Microbiome.

  • The Scientific Presentation: My presentation explored the complex ecosystem of gut microorganisms—encompassing over 1,000 species and 3 million genes—often referred to as our "forgotten organ".

  • Impact of Imbalance: We discussed how an imbalanced gut microbiome can lead to diverse health complications, emphasizing the need for targeted pharmaceutical interventions to restore harmony.

  • Evolution of Quality: This year’s work reflected a significant evolution in my presentation style and technical depth. I want to extend a very special thank you to Prof. Dr. Dina Eid for her invaluable advice and mentorship; her guidance truly transformed the way I structured and delivered this complex information.

A Commitment to Excellence

This participation is another major "step on the way" in my journey through Level 4 Clinical Pharmacy. It reinforces the core mission of the [Ph]ocus Project: becoming career pioneers who prioritize scientific research and long-term wellness over simple disease treatment.

Whether I am navigating a high-stakes chess championship or preparing high-precision medications in the Oncology Pharmacy Practice Department, the goal is the same: absolute focus and the constant pursuit of knowledge.

For Memory ❤️❤️

As I’ve reflected before, the most meaningful legacy we leave behind is the information we share and the appreciation we show to those who help us grow. This conference was not just a scientific milestone, but a beautiful memory shared with colleagues and mentors who inspire me every day.
