The Legacy of Leadership: Organizing "Step on the Way" | Khaled Osama Yaseen

Education is not just about what happens inside the lecture halls; it’s about the experiences we participate in creating. I recently had the immense honor of being part of the organizing committee for the prestigious "Step on the Way" (SOTW) Conference, hosted right here at my home institution, Mansoura University.

Behind the Scenes: A Unique Organizational Journey

Having previously attended the SOTW conference at Zagazig University, it was a full-circle moment to see this event brought to our own campus for our fellow students. The transition from attendee to organizer was a journey filled with growth and professional challenges:

  • Building a Community: This role provided a golden opportunity to collaborate with a group of elite, high-achieving students, forming deep friendships that will undoubtedly last a lifetime.

  • Knowledge Exchange: We weren't just logistics coordinators; we were at the heart of the event, learning directly from world-class speakers and industry experts to sharpen our pharmaceutical and professional skills.

  • Leadership & Growth: Working within the Egyptian Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (EPSF) offers a "treasure" of administrative and leadership skills that are invaluable for any future pharmacist.

Moments to Remember

The photos from the event capture the true spirit of our team—from the intense focus in the conference halls to the shared joy of a successful execution.

  • Unity in Vision: Everyone involved—from the organizers to the lecturers—shared a single goal: excellence and leaving a lasting positive impact on the pharmacy profession.

  • Institutional Pride: Seeing the Mansoura University logo alongside the EPSF crest on such a massive scale reinforces the pride we feel for our academic standing.

Continuing the Path

This conference truly is a "step on the way" toward a bright professional future. As I have always believed—whether I am presenting on the complexities of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) or planning a tactical move on the chess board—organization and teamwork remain the fundamental pillars of success.
