Consistent Growth: Top 5 at the University Chess Cup | Khaled Osama Yaseen

Praise be to God! I am so happy to share that I have secured 5th place in the latest Mansoura University Cup for Classical Chess. This tournament was an incredible experience, and finishing with a strong score of 5 points out of 6 is a testament to the hard work and analysis I've put into the game over the past year.

A Massive Turnout

What made this competition truly special was the level of participation. The tournament featured a huge number of players from across various colleges:

  • Student Representation: A total of 61 male students and 16 female students (77 players in total) competed over five intense days.

  • Growing Community: It’s wonderful to see that chess at our university is no longer just a small gathering of friends; it now has a large audience and a competitive spirit that grows every year.

The Road to the Top 5

This was a "fiery" tournament with some of the best players from the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Arts taking the top spots. As a representative of the Faculty of Pharmacy, achieving a top-5 finish among such high-level competition is a milestone I’m very proud of.

The event was held under the patronage of University President Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset and organized by the General Administration of Student Welfare, ensuring a professional and fair environment for all participants.

Looking Forward

I am truly happy that the love for this game is spreading. Each tournament is a new "treasure" of lessons, and I look forward to participating in future championships where I hope to see even more people playing and enjoying the game we love.

"Praise be to God until praise reaches its end! ❤️❤️ It was a very strong tournament and I was really happy with the large number of participants... Hopefully, future tournaments will see more players and more fun! ❤️" — November 12, 2021
