Advancing Clinical Frontiers: Insights from the [Ph]ocus EPSF-Mansoura Event | Khaled Osama Yaseen

Active participation in the scientific community is essential for any clinical pharmacist aiming to stay at the cutting edge of the profession. I recently had the pleasure of attending the [Ph]ocus event organized by EPSF-Mansoura, a specialized platform dedicated to refining the clinical and research skills of pharmacy students.

Engaging with Genomics and Precision Medicine

During the event, I had the opportunity to engage directly with experts on complex scientific topics.

  • Critical Inquiry: I participated in the discussion by addressing a genomics-related question directed to Dr. Hoda, emphasizing the role of genetic data in tailoring patient-specific treatments.

  • Active Dialogue: These moments of interaction are where "Exceptional Aptitude" is truly tested, requiring a blend of deep scientific knowledge and effective communication skills.

  • Collaborative Learning: Attending sessions by EPSF-Mansoura allows for the cross-pollination of ideas, which is vital for developing the innovative "Game Changer" mindset required in modern clinical practice.

A Milestone in a Season of Mentorship

This event aligns perfectly with my current role as the Scientific Head for the CSU Educational Program.

  • Bridging Theory and Practice: Just as I recently taught students about the essential components of a scientific paper and how to effectively summarize research, attending the [Ph]ocus event allows me to stay updated on the latest clinical trends to pass on to others.

  • Research Excellence: The focus on genomics at this event mirrors the high-level inquiry I applied to my own published work on RSV vaccine acceptance and my research abstract for the ESC Congress 2025.

  • Strategic Advocacy: Whether I am answering a question at a conference or calculating a move in a university-level chess championship, the goal remains to deliver precision and clarity.

Leading the Future of Pharmacy

My journey from being recognized as the 1st Place Ideal Student to joining the IVPN-Network team is fueled by these moments of scientific engagement. I am grateful to EPSF-Mansoura for providing a space where we can challenge ourselves and push the boundaries of what a clinical pharmacist can achieve.

"In most cases, I was answering a genomics question for Dr. Hoda... Always a pleasure to engage with EPSF-Mansoura! 😂❤️" — August 8, 2025
