Empowering the Next Generation: Leading the CSU Educational Program | Khaled Osama Yaseen

Giving back to the academic community has always been a core value for me, and I am thrilled to share my latest volunteer initiative. This August, I am serving as the Scientific Head and Moderator for the CSU Educational Program, organized by the Clinical Students Universe (CSU) at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mansoura University.

A Comprehensive Skill-Building Series

The program is designed as a series of enriching online sessions aimed at helping students grow both academically and professionally. I will be leading sessions on four critical pillars of modern clinical pharmacy practice:

  • Research Paper (Aug 7): Demystifying the structure and process of writing a high-impact scientific paper.

  • Research Idea (Aug 11): Discussing how to move from a spark of curiosity to a viable, structured scientific inquiry.

  • Soft Skills (Aug 14): Covering the essential interpersonal and organizational skills needed to excel in a professional healthcare environment.

  • Presentation Skills (Aug 18): Sharing techniques for delivering scientific data with clarity, confidence, and "Elegance in Every Touch".

Bridging Experience and Mentorship

Leading this program allows me to synthesize everything I have learned throughout my five-year clinical journey. This curriculum is built on the same foundations that led to my own professional milestones:

  • Scientific Success: The research sessions are informed by my first published paper on RSV vaccine determinants and my recent abstract acceptance for the ESC Congress 2025.

  • Ideal Leadership: As the 1st Place Ideal Student at the faculty level, mentoring others is a natural extension of the leadership role I’ve embraced.

  • Strategic Precision: The clarity and calculation I’ve refined through university-level chess championships are exactly what I aim to pass on to students in the "Research Idea" sessions.

  • Professional Networking: Joining the IVPN-Network—a team of "Game Changers"—has highlighted the importance of continuous skill development for the modern millennial professional.

A Final Chapter of Giving Back

Participating in this program, especially as the "Scientific Head," is a powerful way to leave a lasting impact on the faculty that shaped me. Whether I am designing a visual identity like Pharmacco or explaining the phases of a clinical trial, my goal is to simplify the complex and inspire others to reach their full potential.
