Empowering Future Researchers: A Guest Speaking Engagement at Al-Azhar University | Khaled Osama Yaseen

I am deeply honored to have been invited as a guest speaker by the URI Al-Azhar University Student Branch. This session provided a wonderful opportunity to share my passion for academic excellence and clinical research with a dedicated audience of students from various faculties and universities across Egypt.

Mastering the Research Pipeline

During the session, I delivered a comprehensive presentation focused on the critical skills needed to navigate the modern research landscape:

  • Idea Generation: We discussed systematic ways to identify unique and impactful research ideas, moving from initial curiosity to structured scientific inquiry.

  • Effective Committee Presentation: I shared strategies for presenting complex research proposals to committees, ensuring that the core message is both persuasive and scientifically rigorous.

  • Enhancing Presentation Skills: We explored techniques to improve overall communication and presentation mastery, which is essential for any professional looking to make a global impact.

A Season of Scientific Mentorship

This speaking engagement at Al-Azhar is a significant milestone in my post-graduation journey, building on the extensive mentorship work I have done this season:

  • CSU Educational Program: As the Scientific Head for the CSU Condensed Educational Campaign, I have recently moderated deep-dive sessions on identifying research gaps using AI and PubMed, the anatomy of a scientific paper, and the essential soft skills required for healthcare leaders.

  • Institutional Quality: My approach to this presentation was informed by my recent training in the "New Beginning for Quality Assurance of Education" initiative, ensuring that the information shared met the highest academic standards.

  • Global Research Foundation: These sessions are grounded in my own practical success, including my first published paper on RSV vaccine acceptance and my abstract acceptance for the ESC Congress 2025.

Fostering Interdisciplinary Innovation

It was truly inspiring to see the diverse range of students who joined the discussion. Much like my previous session for IVSA Mansoura, where I taught veterinary students about the phases of clinical trials, this event at Al-Azhar proved that the desire for scientific excellence knows no disciplinary boundaries.

Whether I am calculating a move on a chess board or guiding a student through their first research idea, my goal remains to deliver "Elegance in Every Touch" and empower the next generation of "Game Changers".

"I was truly delighted to see students from different faculties and universities across Egypt... it was an honor for me to be a presenter in such an inspiring session." — August 31, 2025
