A Season of Scientific Service: Balancing Conference Leadership and Patient Advocacy | Khaled Osama Yaseen

Praise be to God! I am delighted to share a significant milestone in my professional journey following my graduation. This month, I had the honor of receiving several recognitions that highlight my commitment to both pharmaceutical education and community health.

Dual Honors at the 13th Scientific Conference

Returning to my home faculty at Mansoura University for the 13th Scientific Conference for Pharmacy Students was a deeply rewarding experience. I am incredibly proud to have been awarded two distinct certificates during this event:

  • Expert Speaker: I was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation for presenting my specialized workshop, "Research Unlocked: Your First Step". It was a wonderful opportunity to share a roadmap for scientific inquiry with the next generation of pharmacy researchers.

  • Conference Organizer: In addition to my speaking role, I received a second certificate for my work on the organizing committee. Helping to facilitate such a large-scale scientific event required the same time management and teamwork skills I recently taught in my CSU "Soft Skills" session.

Standing with my esteemed professors—including Prof. Dr. Manal Eid, Prof. Dr. Jenny Jeehan Nasr, and Prof. Dr. Khalid B. Selim—to receive these honors was a moment I will always treasure.

Advocating for Renal Health: The CKD Campaign

My third major recognition this season stems from my dedication to clinical practice and public health. I am proud to have completed the "Awareness of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)" campaign.

This project was a vital application of clinical knowledge to the community:

  • Public Awareness: We worked to educate the public on the high prevalence of CKD in Egypt, which affects approximately 13% of adults.

  • Clinical Guidance: Our focus included teaching patients about the management of complications such as hypertension and anemia, as well as the importance of regular eGFR monitoring.

A Portfolio of Excellence

These three certificates add to a prolific 2024/2025 season defined by "Exceptional Aptitude" and academic rigor. Whether I am judging research submissions for AZ-RISE, attending the Immunology and Regenerative Medicine Symposium, or joining the IVPN-Network as a "Game Changer," the goal remains the same: elevating the standards of our profession.

"We've returned to 'hacking' conference certificates! 😂 Returning from each conference with two or three honors... I am truly happy for the period I spent at the faculty and for getting to know my honorable doctors and colleagues who support me always and forever. ❤️❤️" — September 26, 2025
