Scientific progress thrives when we hold research to the highest standards of integrity and innovation. I was truly honored and delighted to participate as a judge for the research submissions in the AZ-RISE Round 2 initiative.
The Rigor of Scientific Peer Review
Participating in this initiative allowed me to transition from a researcher to an evaluator, providing a unique perspective on the quality of work being produced by the next generation of scientists:
Collaborative Judging: It was a privilege to serve on a judging panel alongside distinguished doctors and scholars. Evaluating research alongside such high-caliber experts was a deeply enriching experience.
Research Standards: My role involved scrutinizing research methodologies and findings, ensuring they met the rigorous criteria for scientific contribution.
Gratitude to URI Al-Azhar: I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the URI Al-Azhar University Student Branch for their kind invitation and for consistently fostering a culture of scientific excellence.
A Journey Grounded in Academic Quality
My participation in AZ-RISE Round 2 is a direct reflection of my ongoing commitment to educational standards and scientific mentorship:
Quality Assurance: This judging role follows my recent training in the "New Beginning for Quality Assurance of Education" initiative, where I refined my understanding of how academic and scientific quality is assessed.
Teaching Foundation: The skills I used to evaluate these submissions are the same ones I shared during my guest lecture at Al-Azhar University on generating research ideas and effective committee presentations.
Practical Research Excellence: My evaluations were informed by my own experiences in the research pipeline, including having my systematic review and meta-analysis accepted for the ESC Congress 2025 in Madrid.
Mentorship Legacy: As I prepare for my upcoming workshop, "Research Unlocked: Your First Step," at the 13th Scientific Conference, experiences like AZ-RISE help me better guide students on what judges look for in high-impact research.
Building a "Game Changer" Future
Whether I am delivering sessions on soft skills and time management or serving as the Scientific Head for the CSU Educational Program, my focus is on building a robust clinical community. Joining the IVPN-Network—a team dedicated to millennials and "Game Changers"—has further inspired me to contribute to the technical and professional development of our field.
