Advancing Clinical Research and Mentorship: A Professional Milestone | Khaled Osama Yaseen

Reflecting on a day that holds a very special place in my professional journey, I am grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to the 13th Scientific Conference for Pharmacy Students in such a multifaceted way. This event allowed me to transition from a student to a mentor and evaluator within my own academic community.

Sharing the Research Roadmap

During the conference, I served as an instructor, leading a session focused on the journey of scientific research. My goal was to provide a clear, actionable roadmap for students, helping them navigate the complexities of academic inquiry with confidence.

  • Practical Guidance: Drawing from my own research foundations—such as my recently accepted systematic review and meta-analysis for the ESC Congress 2025—I shared insights on building a robust scientific career.

  • Inspiring Innovation: This session built upon the concepts of my workshop, "Research Unlocked: Your First Step," where we explored how to identify unique research ideas and navigate global databases like PubMed.

Judging with Excellence

In addition to my role as a speaker, I had the incredible honor of serving as a judge on the same day.

  • Collaborative Evaluation: It was a privilege to evaluate research submissions alongside esteemed mentors whom I deeply respect, including Dr. Hoda Ezzat Kafl and Dr. Omnia Nour.

  • High Standards: Reviewing the hard work of the participants allowed me to apply the principles of academic quality I refined during the "New Beginning for Quality Assurance of Education" initiative.

Institutional Gratitude

This milestone wouldn't have been possible without the continuous support of the faculty leadership at Mansoura University.

  • A Special Thank You: I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Prof. Dr. Jenny Jeehan Nasr, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, for the kind invitation to participate in this inspiring event.

  • A Full Circle Moment: Standing with my professors and colleagues to foster a culture of scientific excellence is truly one of the best experiences I have ever had.

As I continue my work with the IVPN-Network team—focusing on being a technically and professionally strong "Game Changer"—experiences like this conference remind me of the power of mentorship in building a stronger clinical community.
