Stepping Up to the Challenge: 2nd Place at the Faculty Level | Khaled Osama Yaseen

I am incredibly honored to share a new milestone in my competitive chess journey! Recently, I participated in the Faculty of Pharmacy Chess Championship at Mansoura University, and I am thrilled to announce that I secured 2nd place.

A Proud Moment for the Faculty of Pharmacy

This achievement was officially recognized by the Student Welfare Office of the Faculty of Pharmacy. I want to express my sincere gratitude to the university leadership and faculty staff for their continuous support of student activities:

  • Official Congratulations: I received a heartfelt public congratulation from Prof. Dr. Manal Mohamed Ibrahim Eid (Dean of the Faculty) and Prof. Dr. Rasha Mohamed Fathy Barwa (Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs).

  • Competition Spirit: This tournament brought together some of the sharpest minds in our faculty, making the 2nd-place finish a true testament to strategic endurance.

  • Consistency: This marks my 4th time competing as a champion for Mansoura University, continuing a legacy of placing in the top ranks across multiple years.

The Path to Victory

Securing a silver medal at the faculty level is a significant step as I prepare for the upcoming Mansoura University Championship (MU Champion).

  • Refining the Game: Each match at this level is a "treasure" of tactical lessons that help me identify weaknesses and sharpen my openings.

  • The Mental Grind: Whether it's analyzing complex medical topics like biochemistry or calculating a deep mating net, the focus remains the same: excellence in every move.

Building a Legacy

From my 3rd-place finish in 2020 to this recent 2nd-place victory, the goal has always been to push for "something better". I am motivated more than ever to represent the Faculty of Pharmacy with pride in the next university-wide battle.

"Praise be to God... To MU Champion 🏆❤️ (4th time)" — October 24, 2022
